About
What is AskCappadocia?
AskCappadocia is a free, AI-powered travel planner for the Cappadocia region of Central Türkiye. You describe your trip in plain language — how many days, your budget, who is travelling and what you love — and it builds a day-by-day itinerary in minutes, in ten languages. Every recommendation is drawn from a human-curated database of places, with ratings attributed to their original sources and prices shown as honest, current estimates rather than invented figures. Unlike a generic booking site, it works like a local concierge: it knows that balloon flights launch at sunrise and depend on the weather, that cave hotels cluster in Göreme and Uçhisar, and that the best time to visit balances price against cancellation risk. There is nothing to buy and no sign-up wall — you see your plan immediately.
Cappadocia is a semi-arid region in Nevşehir Province, famous for its fairy-chimney rock formations, sunrise hot-air balloons, cave hotels and Byzantine rock-cut churches. Its core sights — Göreme, Ürgüp, Uçhisar, Avanos and the underground cities of Derinkuyu and Kaymaklı — sit within about an hour of one another. The Göreme valleys and rock sites are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and balloon flights are authorised each morning by the regional flight authority based on wind and visibility. Most travellers spend two to four days here, flying in to Nevşehir (NAV) or Kayseri (ASR) airports and transferring by road. For current museum entry fees, balloon prices and airport-transfer costs, AskCappadocia reads live data instead of quoting fixed numbers that quickly go stale.

Cappadocia questions, answered honestly
April–May and September–November give the most stable balloon flights and mild walking weather. Summer is hot and busy; winter is cheapest and snowy but balloons cancel more often.
Two to three days covers the icons — a sunrise balloon, the Göreme valleys and one cave dinner. Four to five lets you slow down for underground cities, Avanos crafts and quieter towns.
Roughly €120–€250 per person depending on the season and basket size. Prices change daily, so we show an estimate with its source rather than a fixed number.
Cappadocia is a well-visited tourism region and most trips are trouble-free, but normal travel precautions still apply. Check current advice, use licensed providers, and take care on unmarked valley trails.
Fly into Nevşehir (NAV) or Kayseri (ASR) airport, then take a 45–80 minute transfer to Göreme, Uçhisar, Ürgüp or Avanos. Many cave hotels arrange the transfer for you.
No. Flights are weather-dependent and civil aviation can ground all balloons on windy or foggy mornings. Book the first morning of your trip so you have backup days.
