Cappadocia questions, answered honestly
April–May and September–November give the most stable balloon flights and mild walking weather. Summer is hot and busy; winter is cheapest and snowy but balloons cancel more often.
Two to three days covers the icons — a sunrise balloon, the Göreme valleys and one cave dinner. Four to five lets you slow down for underground cities, Avanos crafts and quieter towns.
Roughly €120–€250 per person depending on the season and basket size. Prices change daily, so we show an estimate with its source rather than a fixed number.
Yes — it is one of Turkey’s most visited regions and is generally very safe, including for solo and family travellers. Normal travel common sense applies.
Fly into Nevşehir (NAV) or Kayseri (ASR) airport, then take a 45–80 minute transfer to Göreme, Uçhisar, Ürgüp or Avanos. Many cave hotels arrange the transfer for you.
No. Flights are weather-dependent and civil aviation can ground all balloons on windy or foggy mornings. Book the first morning of your trip so you have backup days.
