A Cappadocia institution, and one of the loveliest rooms to eat in. Old Greek House occupies a restored 19th-century Greek mansion in Mustafapaşa, with frescoed arches, a vine-shaded courtyard and dining floors where the Öztürk family has cooked for generations. It carries a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand for honest, good-value home cooking, and the dish to order is the testi (clay-pot) kebab, cracked open at the table. Expect motherly mezes and slow-cooked Anatolian classics rather than fine-dining flourishes. Come for the history and the hospitality as much as the food.
