About AskCappadocia

AskCappadocia is a free, AI-powered trip planner for Cappadocia, built by a small team that actually lives and works in the region. Tell it how long you are staying, your budget and what you enjoy, and it returns a day-by-day itinerary in minutes — in ten languages. We started it because planning a Cappadocia trip means juggling balloon schedules, weather risk, cave-hotel neighbourhoods and museum hours across dozens of browser tabs. Our goal is simple: give travellers one honest, up-to-date answer instead of guesswork, and make the region easier to enjoy. There is no sign-up wall and nothing to buy — you see your plan straight away, and you can share it as a PDF or link.

How we plan your trip

Behind the chat is a knapsack-style planning engine, not a fixed template. It reads the slots you fill in — dates, party, budget, style and hotel — and fits the highest-value experiences into the days you have, protecting must-dos like a sunrise balloon flight while trimming lower-priority stops when time or budget is tight. Because balloon flights launch at dawn and depend on the weather, the planner factors in cancellation risk by season and, when you give exact dates, checks the live forecast so it can suggest a backup plan. Every recommendation is drawn from a human-curated database of places rather than whatever a language model happens to remember.

Honest prices, attributed ratings

We never invent prices or reviews. Ratings come from Google and TripAdvisor and are always shown with their source, so you can judge them for yourself. Prices — museum entry fees, balloon ranges, airport-transfer costs — are read from live data at the moment the page loads, not typed into an article that slowly goes stale; where a price changes daily, we say so and point you to the current figure. Each place also carries a short curator note explaining why we chose it and who it suits. That mix — independent ratings plus a local opinion — is what we would want a friend in Cappadocia to give us.

A local team, on the ground

AskCappadocia is run by people based in Cappadocia, not a distant content farm. The same team operates a local coffee house, King's Coffee, and an airport-transfer service in the Çavuşin area — so the advice you read comes from people who drive these roads, greet these guests and watch the balloons every morning. When we recommend our own coffee or transfer, we say so plainly. We do not sell tours or take hidden commissions; the planner's job is to give you a good, honest plan, and our local businesses are simply part of how we know the region first-hand.

Free, with no hard sell

Today AskCappadocia is a pure planning tool. There is no booking, no payment and no pressure — you can build and share as many plans as you like without paying or, for most of it, even signing up. We ask for an email only when you choose to save or share a plan. If we add booking in the future, it will be clearly separate from the free planner, and the planning advice will stay independent. Our promise is to keep the core useful and honest, whatever we build on top of it.

Founder & curator

Mehmet founded AskCappadocia and curates the places it recommends. He and his team live and work in Cappadocia, where they also run King's Coffee and a local transfer service — so the recommendations come from daily, on-the-ground experience rather than a desk far away.
