Piccolo does proper Italian-style specialty coffee, from a punchy espresso to a flat white with genuinely well-textured milk, and the homemade desserts are the kind you go back for. The menu explains the coffee clearly, there is oat milk for those who want it, and even a fresh homemade lemonade for warm afternoons. The room is warm, clean and dotted with pretty bits and pieces. A welcome bit of serious coffee in a town better known for its pottery.
