Privacy Policy

AskCappadocia is a free trip-inspiration tool for the Cappadocia region. Here’s a plain-language summary of what little information we handle and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as possible.

What we handle

• Trip preferences you enter. When you build a plan you may share your dates, party size, budget and style. We use these only to put together and show your itinerary.
• An optional email. The tool is free and needs no account. We ask for your email only if you choose to save or share a plan, so we can send you the link (via a magic link).
• Basic analytics. We use analytics such as Google Analytics and Firebase to see which pages and features are used (for example simple events like a plan being created or shared). This helps us understand overall usage rather than identify you.
• Technical data. Like most websites, our servers may log basic request data such as IP address and browser type, mainly for security and to prevent abuse.
• No payment data. AskCappadocia does not sell or book anything and does not take payment, so we don’t collect any card or payment details.

Why we handle it

• To put together, show, save and share your trip plan.
• To email you a plan link when you ask us to.
• To understand general usage and improve the tool.
• To keep the tool healthy (for example, simple rate limits on plan generation and contact messages).

We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t run ads based on it.

Third-party sources and providers

Place ratings, reviews and details shown here may come from third parties such as Google and Tripadvisor and are always presented with attribution to their source. Those materials belong to their respective owners; we show them for your convenience and don’t claim them as our own.

To deliver a couple of features we rely on third-party providers: email delivery (Resend) when you save or share a plan, and maps (Mapbox) when you view a map. They process only the limited data needed to provide their part of the service, under their own privacy practices.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and your browser’s local storage to remember things like your language preference and your most recent plan, so you can pick up where you left off. Analytics providers may set their own cookies. You can clear these any time in your browser settings.

Keeping things tidy

We keep saved plans and any email you share only for as long as it’s reasonably useful for the save/share feature. If you’d like us to remove your data, just ask (see below).

Your choices

• You can use the tool without giving us an email at all.
• You can ask us to remove any personal data we hold about you.
• You can opt out of analytics using your browser’s privacy controls.

Children

AskCappadocia is intended for a general audience and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update these notes as the tool evolves. The latest version always lives on this page.
